Iridium data

Cerberus from Briartek | Iridium Shout Nano |
Cerberus (from Homer's 3 headed dog that guarded the gates of Hades) allows you to send and receive short text messages on your smartphone while out of cellular range. The system uses Iridium's satellite network.

The three heads of this dog are Cerberlink: the PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) function, Cerbertouch: the Smartphone interface, and Cerbercenter: the central PLB server.

The system uses an Iridium 9602 SBD modem along with GPS, memory for saving received messages, and lots of battery capacity. It also has a distress button, like the Globalstar Spot Connect but the Cerbertouch can receive as well as send mesages.
